It takes a lot of support and hard working people to run a successful election campaign. To make a financial contribution, please complete the following form.
Here are a few simple rules you should know before making a contribution to the Re-Elect Dave Barrow for Mayor campaign.
1. An eligible contributor is defined as an associated Corporation, any unincorporated groups, and individual(s), and contributor must be a resident of Ontario.
2. Contribution may not exceed $750.00 from any eligible contributor.
3. The maximum total amount a person may contribute to candidates in the same jurisdiction is $5,000. Each municipal council and each school board is a separate jurisdiction.
4. Candidates are required to include the name and address of each person who contributes more than $100 in total to their campaign when filing their campaign finance statement. This document must be filed with the Clerk on or before March 25, 2011 and is a public document.
5. Clerks are required to make 2010 campaign finance statements available to the public in an electronic format free of charge and post this information on the Town’s website following the election.
6. In Richmond Hill, campaign contributions are not eligible for a property tax credit, a contribution rebate or a federal income tax receipt.
7. Non-eligible contributors are defined as Federal or Provincial political associations, a registered electoral candidate, a municipality or a local elected board.
8. Donations in excess of $10.00 require a receipt with name, address, amount and type.
9. No anonymous contributions are allowed.
10. Cash can be accepted up to $25.00 only.
11. Amounts over $25.00 must be donated by cheque, money order or credit card.
12. Donations should be made out to Dave Barrow For Mayor Committee.
